Captured and collected biological samples from red fox and applied radio telemetric collars. Documented relevant data to support red fox research projects in Gunnison.
Trained undergraduates on usage of radio telemetry equipment.
Radio telemetry triangulation experience to document fox ranges in Gunnison.
Assisted in black footed ferret surveys in Lamar, CO, to support reintroduction efforts of the species.
Participated in ecological restoration efforts planting sage seedlings on decommissioned BLM roads.

Assisted in helicopter surveys of game species and Gunnison Sage Grouse.
Conducted systematic roadkill surveys along 90+ miles of highway corridors, documenting wildlife-vehicle collisions to establish accurate baseline data for potential mitigation projects.
Deployed and monitored 99+ wildlife cameras to assess ungulate crossing behavior and movement patterns in relation to highways.
Set paired camera sites on planted roadkill on and off roadways to assess the road effect on scavenger utilization of roadkill carcasses.
Synthesized field data with GPS collar movement information to identify fine-scale wildlife crossing locations and movement corridors.

Collaborated with Rutgers University professors and students to utilize BFC's extensive wildlife sightings and movement database in ArcGIS for research purposes.
Analyzing this database on ArcGIS in comparison with prior wildlife movement data for new charts on migratory movements across US-191 to contribute to management and conservation strategies.

Given a dedicated role in 2023 overseeing wildlife crossing projects and scientific initiatives for BFC.
Led teams of interns and volunteers on winter field expeditions to collect bison and wildlife movement data in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) (100’s of hours of fieldwork leadership experience).
Conducted trail camera experiment documenting bison adaptation to using human-made corridors to substantiate that large mammals will quickly learn new migratory routes if aligned with intended movement (8 individual female bison using the new corridors in the first three weeks).
Improved field use of wildlife data reporting and the research quality of prior data by moving and renovating large datasets into Kobo Toolbox and Google Looker Studio.

Conducted fieldwork collecting crayfish specimens for research.
Created scent formulas for a fear and environment response experiment.
Set up controlled laboratory experiment tanks and conducted 15-minute control and experimental tests with live crayfish, recording their reactions to tank setups with and without added scent formulas.
Troubleshooted experiment setup with graduate student advisor to increase the efficacy of our results and reviewed experiment footage for analysis.
